Elizabeth Boonman-Salgado
Chief People and Culture Officer
Elizabeth brings over 25 years’ experience in the International Development, Humanitarian, Banking, and Academic sectors. In the last 10 years she has led the People and Culture function in INGOs, going through rapid change. She has an impressive record in people management and International HR. She has worked extensively with country programmes based in Asia, Africa, and Europe.
Elizabeth was most recently a Human Resources Director with the Clean Air Fund. In this role, she focused on the employee experience – from benefits and reward, to facilitating career development and strategies for retention. She built the HR function, developing strategies for supporting the scaling up of the organization. Previously, Elizabeth worked for the Malaria Consortium. Her last role there was as Human Resources Director, where she designed and implemented the review of the job evaluation and reward systems, created the organisation’s competency framework to facilitate career development and staff retention, and implemented an Ethical Professional Framework in 14 countries.
Elizabeth has a Psychology Degree, MScs in Organisational Communication and Business Psychology. She is a member of the CIPD, the Association of Business Psychology and Project FAIR: INGO Reward Forum. Elizabeth is passionate about building great places to work where people’s development meets organisational strategy and delivery.
