Steinar Zinke
Chief Risk Officer, Corporate & Investment Bank, J.P. Morgan
Steinar Zinke is the Chief Risk Officer for the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) and has served in this role since July 2012.
Prior to this, Steinar was the Chief Risk Officer for the Investment Bank. He has held various leadership roles with the firm since joining in 1997, starting in the role as head of Credit Risk Management for Germany, Switzerland and Austria. He later served as Senior Credit Officer for Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa. He became the head of the Credit Portfolio Group for EMEA in 2003 and also headed Global Credit Risk Management for Asia Pacific. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, he held various roles at Barclays Bank and NatWest Markets.
Steinar, a Norwegian citizen, grew up in Bodø which is located about 50 miles north of the Arctic Circle in the northern part of the country. He is fluent in Norwegian, English and German. Steinar is a passionate skier, golfer and loves cooking for family and friends.
He studied business administration and finance at University of Mannheim in Germany and Hochschule St. Gallen in Switzerland.
